蒼蒼竹林寺，
杳杳鐘聲晚。
荷笠帶夕陽，
青山獨歸遠。

A deep, dark green, the Temple of Bamboo Woods;
A dim, distant ring, the sound of the evening bell.
With jour lotus-leaf hat you bear the sun’s slanting rays
As you go home alone to the blue hills far away.
